*POSITION SUMMARY: *

The Controller will oversee the financial operations of our company, ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective internal controls, and compliance with all applicable financial regulations. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of financial management in manufacturing businesses. Understanding of agriculture and retail industries is also preferred. The Controller will work closely with senior management to drive financial performance and strategy in support the company's growth objectives



*RESPONSIBILITIES:*
* Manage all aspects of the company's financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, AR/AP, payroll, and financial reporting.
* Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
* Prepare and present financial statements, reports, and analyses to senior management and stakeholders.
* Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
* Oversee the preparation of budgets and forecasts, and monitor financial performance against these benchmarks.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.
* Coordinate and manage an annual audit process, working with external auditors to ensure timely and accurate completion.
* Develop, lead and mentor the eventual finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
* Collaborate with other departments to support business initiatives and drive operational efficiency.
* Manage key banking and financial relationships.



*QUALIFICATIONS*:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
* Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in a financial management role, preferably within food manufacturing, agriculture, or retail industries.
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
* Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
* Strong leadership and team management abilities.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
