CNA/LPN

The Neosho School District is searching for a CNA or LPN for the 2024/2025 school year. This is a one on one assistant to a student. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Qualified applicants should hold their CNA or LPN certification.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provides first aid and emergency care to students following the regulations and procedures established by the Neosho School District, Newton County Health Department, Missouri State Department of Education and the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services.
  • Carries out delegated nursing tasks for student
  • Implements federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and procedures related to school health services
  • Carries out health services procedures established by the Neosho School District
  • Observes for student health, psychosocial and other needs and refers students appropriately
  • Maintains accurate, confidential, and appropriate records following established guidelines
  • Contributes to the development of health care plans and the implementation of plan
  • Communicates medical information in a timely manner to appropriate school personnel, parents/guardians, and the Neosho school nurse while maintaining confidentiality
  • Maintains emergency procedure information for student
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education/Experience/Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Current unrestricted Missouri License; Current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR); One year of health care experience, and computer experience.

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, and percentages

An individual who holds this position must have the ability to:

Interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form

Solve problems when such problems have a variety of concrete variables

Technology

An individual who holds this position must:

Have strong computer skills including word processing, and working with spreadsheets and databases.

Be able to understand and submit online reports

Have the ability to learn new systems and software

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this position an employee is regularly required to sit, talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to walk and use fingers and controls. The employee is occasionally required to stand, reach and bend and lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
