Responsibilities
  • Provide radiation therapy treatments and function as an essential member of the radiation oncology treatment team in order to provide quality care to our patients.
  • Demonstrate competency to deliver a planned course of radiation therapy accurately and safely.
  • Use appropriate machine settings to deliver treatment while visually monitoring the patient and treatment console during treatment.
  • Takes appropriate verification images.
  • Check treatment plans and parameters prior to initial treatment.
  • Reports any deviations in treatment plan to appropriate channels.
  • Performs and maintains Quality Assurance activities.
Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of radiation therapy technology.
  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
  • Two years’ experience as a radiation therapist preferred
  • Experience and competence with ARIA and Truebeam
  • Cyberknife and HDR experience preferred
  • American Heart Association BLS card required.
  • Demonstrate ability and willingness to educate other staff. Ability to work independently
