Job Description:

We are seeking a seasoned engineer with extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in enterprise storage technologies, particularly NetApp. The Senior Enterprise Storage Analyst will oversee all IT enterprise data storage operations, including data management, backups, disaster recovery, and project work in a 24x7 multi-site environment.

This role requires a strong technical background in storage systems, coupled with significant experience in large enterprise environments. Responsibilities include managing storage systems, performing upgrades and migrations using SAN & NAS technologies, and working with NetApp, PureStorage, Veeam, NetBackup, and Brocade switches. The ideal candidate will work independently, applying technical expertise to manage storage and backup systems efficiently while communicating effectively with peers, customers, and leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical expertise in managing an enterprise-level NetApp storage environment, including monitoring, networking, configuration, capacity management, and performance optimization.
  • Maximize storage system utilization and performance through storage efficiency technologies, provisioning/reclaiming storage, deploying new systems, adding/removing disk shelves, scheduling and performing CDOT/ONTAP/firmware upgrades, troubleshooting SAN/NAS issues, and assessing storage needs.
  • Manage disk, tape, and associated systems, ensuring service restoration and root cause identification for any issues.
  • Configure and administer data backup, disaster recovery, and replication technologies.
  • Offer day-to-day operational and technical support, research new technologies, develop strategies, perform necessary maintenance, and provide ongoing recommendations and best practices.
  • Proactively support operations to prevent and resolve issues according to business impact and established service level agreements.
  • Collaborate with ServiceNow Incident and Problem Management to address root causes and prevent future incidents.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in enterprise storage and backup.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or equivalent education/experience.
  • Strong understanding of storage systems architecture and design, including SAN/NAS administration, storage switches, NetBackup, and tape library management, as well as disaster recovery and business continuity solutions.
  • Extensive experience with NetApp Snap management suite, backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and replication technologies.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage workload and balance conflicting priorities.
  • Strong communication skills to work effectively with internal teams, clients, and remote site resources, following best practices.
