Overview

Responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of neuromuscular disorders, with an emphasis on treatment through manual adjustment and/or manipulation of the spine. Help to reduce pain and improve the functionality of patients as well as to educate them on how they can account for their own health via exercise, ergonomics and other therapies to treat muscular pain.

Responsibilities
  • Supports organization’s mission by striving for excellence in all aspects of their job with a focus on positive interpersonal relationship with co-workers
  • Diagnose health problems by reviewing patients' health and medical histories, questioning, observing, and examining patients and interpreting x-rays
  • Perform a series of manual adjustments to the spine or other articulations of the body to correct the musculoskeletal system.
  • Maintains complete patient records using the Electronic Medical record and complies with all reporting mechanisms
  • Ensures compliance with the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services Ambulatory Care Regulations for Licensure as well as requirements of other licensing and accrediting bodies, health maintenance organizations and other insurance carriers
  • Collaborates in the provision of in-service education for staff
  • Adheres to CHC infection control and safety policies, and guidelines of regulatory agencies
  • Participates in community outreach programs regarding CHC services and programs
  • Omission of specific duties does not exclude them from this position if the work is similar, related or a logical assignment for this position
  • Qualifications
  • Doctorate of Chiropractic degree. Licensed as a  Chiropractic Physician in New Jersey with education and experience in primary care settings
  • FQHC experience preferred
  • 2 plus years as a Chiropractic Physician preferred
  • Must be able to think critically and make judgements about how best to help patients
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a close-knit team
  • Up to date on the latest chiropractic practices and a desire to provide cutting-age care
  • Must be in good physical condition and have the dexterity and strength to perform adjustments and manipulations on patients
  • Car and valid driver’s license
