Weekly Pay Range - $1765 To $1961 Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Job Specialty: Pediatrics Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 PM - 07:30 AM Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Registered Respiratory Therapist Certifications: BLS, NRP, NBRC Must-Have: Proficiency in pediatric respiratory care Job Description: - Medicated Aerosol Therapy: - Small volume nebulizers - Breath actuated nebulizer - Vibrating mesh nebulizers - Patient education for aerosol, MDI, DPI therapy - DPI, MDI & holding chamber - Pentamidine administration - Medication carts and automated dispensing systems - Bar coding medication administration- Airway Clearance Therapy: - Clapping, vibration, and directed cough - Positive Expiratory Pressure (PEP) and oscillatory PEP - Hyperinflation therapy (IS, EZPAP) - High Frequency Chest Wall Oscillation - Intermittent Percussive Ventilation (IPV) - Acoustic airway clearance - Cough assist- Airway Management: - Suctioning - Tracheostomy care - Manual ventilation - Intubation assistance- Assisted Ventilation: - Mechanical ventilation - Ventilator system checks - CPAP/BiPAP/NIMV - Negative pressure ventilation - Initiation and management of NAVA- High Risk Delivery: - Surfactant administration - NRP protocol - T-piece ventilation - Intubation- Blood Gas Sampling: - Blood gas analysis and interpretation- Humidity Therapy: - Heated humidity - Aerosol mask, trach collar, t-piece, face shield - HME- Clinical Practice Guidelines: - Asthma care path - CF care - RDS management and BPD prevention - Acute Chest Syndrome Carepath - HFNC protocol - Respiratory care consult service- Nitric Oxide Protocol and Monitoring: - Pulse oximetry - Peak flow meters - Capnography - Ventilator graphic interpretation - Overnight or continuous pulse oximetry and capnography studies - Spontaneous breathing trial - Transcutaneous CO2 monitoring- Transport: - HFNC portable unit - T-piece ventilation - MRI - Internal with assisted ventilation - Neonatal Rapid Response Team - Nitric oxide transport- Oxygen and Special Gas Therapy: - Nasal cannula, oxygen masks - High flow nasal cannula - Oxygen tanks, blenders, analyzers - Inhaled Nitric Oxide calibration and troubleshooting - Sub ambient oxygen, Heliox therapy- Equipment Cleaning and Maintenance- Work in various hospital units including Pediatric ICU, Neonatal ICU, Pediatric Cardiac ICU, and Emergency room- Collaborate with attending physicians, fellows, advanced practice providers, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, hospitalists, residents, nurses, and other disciplines.Note: This job posting has been formatted for clarity and conciseness, with confidential information and specific identifiers removed per policy.
