Job Description:

Are you a dedicated and detail-oriented Certified Pharmacy Technician with a passion for animal care? This veterinary pharmacy is seeking a skilled professional to join our team and provide exceptional pharmaceutical support. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately dispensing medications, collaborating with veterinarians, and ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and care. Responsibilities include:

Medication Dispensing: Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications for veterinary patients, ensuring correct dosages and labeling in accordance with established protocols.

Insurance Verification: Verify and process insurance claims for veterinary prescriptions, including communicating with insurance providers and resolving any issues related to coverage and approvals.

Data Entry: Enter and maintain precise medication and patient information in the pharmacy's computer system, including updating records and tracking inventory to ensure optimal stock levels.

Collaboration with Veterinarians: Work closely with veterinarians to clarify medication orders, provide information on drug interactions and side effects, and assist with any special requirements or modifications to treatment plans.

Customer Service: Provide exceptional service to clients by answering inquiries, explaining medication usage, and addressing any concerns related to prescriptions and pet health.

Must have requirements:
Minimum 1-4+ years of experience
Must be PTCB Certified AND a current active MA Pharmacy Technician License
Experience in closed door, Long Term Care pharmacies OR fast paced retail pharmacies is preferred

Schedule- Start and end times between 8:30a-5:30p.

Pay Ranges-

PTCB/NHA Licensed: $22-$24/hr
$22: has been certified less than a yr
$23: 1-2 yrs certified
$24: 2+ yrs certified

Projected Start Date- ASAP
