<strong>HARVEST CELLAR INTERN 2024 VINTAGE</strong><br><br>Argyle Winery is searching for dedicated individuals to help craft both sparkling and still wines from the beautiful Dundee and Eola-Amity Hills in the upcoming 2024 harvest. Our talented winemaking team is looking for harvest interns at all levels of experience and will provide a place for you to learn and grow. Those who perform best in this environment are flexible and take direction well, are quality-focused, have previous winery experience and/or an appreciation of food and wine.<br><br>The ideal candidate will arrive at the job ready to perform the essential functions that drive our extraordinary winery production. They must be eager to work as a team, have clear communication skills and contribute to our collaborative work environment with a positive attitude, passion for wine, and eagerness to learn about the art of sparkling, as the culture of our team encourages enthusiasm, respect, safety, curiosity and on-the-job learning. Amidst the business of harvest, we will always find time to eat, drink and relax as a team to remain fresh and motivated. This is a full-time, nonexempt (eligible for overtime) temporary position, scheduled Aug. - Nov. 2024. This position does not qualify for benefits<br><br><strong>.<br>Qualifications/Requirement</strong><br><br>s:We are looking for people with a passion for wine and great enthusiasm for crafting wines of exceptional quality. Prior harvest cellar experience, including crush operations, are a must and forklift experience is preferred, but not mandatory<strong>. Must be able to provide U.S. Work Authorization by the time of hire without current or future sponsorship. </strong><br><br><strong> <br>Essential Work Requiremen</strong><br><ul><li>ts:Works well in a team setting but able to work on tasks alone as w</li><li>ellExperience with cellar procedu</li><li>resExperience driving a forklift in a winery sett</li><li>ingA strong attention to detail and ability to execute tasks in a timely man</li><li>nerMust be able to lift and carry 50lbs and stand for long periods of time with or without reasonable accommodati</li><li>onsAbility to work long hours at peak times (up to 12 hours a day and 6-7 days a we</li><li>ek)Dependability to show up to work every day and complete the tasks assig</li><li>nedA basic knowledge and understanding of the winemaking proc</li></ul><br><strong>ess<br>The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited</strong><br><br> to:- Managing fruit intake, including cleaning, receiving, processing and pres<br><br>sing- Racking and barreling <br><br>down- Occasional lab anal<br><br>ysis- Sanitation of winery and all winery equip<br><br>ment- Punch downs and/or pumpo<br><br>vers- Operation of crush equipment, pumps, and p<br><br>ress- Forklift driving including bin unloading and dumping, barrel stacking, etc. (for those who are licen<br><br>sed)These daily tasks will be performed around a core of cleaning duties, preceded and followed by more cleaning; wash, rinse, rep<br><br>eat.<br>*Applicants should be prepared to work a variable schedule and extended hours, including overtime, weekends, and holidays.
