OTR CDL Driver - Hazmat

We are looking for an experienced OTR CDL Driver with Hazmat Endorsement to join our team. This position is with an environmental company specializing in the transportation of hazardous waste. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting hazardous materials across long distances and will be on the road or out of town 50-60% of the time and must be able to work with a team.

Key Responsibilities:

- Safely operate a commercial vehicle to transport hazardous waste to designated facilities across various locations.

- Ensure compliance with all DOT regulations and company safety protocols, particularly those related to the handling and transportation of hazardous materials.

- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including trip logs, manifests, and other required documentation.

- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in proper working condition and report any issues immediately.

- Adhere to strict safety and environmental guidelines during the loading, unloading, and transport of hazardous materials.

- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other team members to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.

- Manage time effectively to meet delivery schedules while ensuring safety and compliance with regulations.

Qualifications:

- Valid CDL with Hazmat Endorsements.

-Must be a team player.

- Proven experience as an OTR driver, preferably with experience in transporting hazardous materials.

- Clean driving record with a strong commitment to safety.

- Knowledge of DOT regulations, particularly those related to hazardous materials.

- Ability to be on the road or out of town 50-60% of the time, including overnight stays.

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage documentation and adhere to safety protocols.

- Ability to handle and transport hazardous materials with care and in compliance with all regulations.
