Overview:

Extex, a division of Kaman, is looking for an Administrative Assistant to join their team in Gilbert, AZ. This candidate will provide a wide variety of administrative functions to support the Director of Manufacturing, Director of Quality, Vice President of Manufacturing, and other administrative areas. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Prepares correspondence, working from handwritten or draft copies. Types letter, memoranda, and statistical and technical reports. Manages the calendar for VP of Manufacturing, arranges day-to-day schedule and makes adjustments as new conditions arise. Coordinates and schedules meetings with external and internal contacts. Handles travel reservations for various personnel traveling on company business, as needed. Enters expense reports into online reporting system. Responsible for coordinating tradeshows including, but not limited to, maintaining the tradeshow schedule, exhibit registrations and payment for services, packaging and shipping of product samples, product literature, booth structural materials and graphics. Prepares presentations, charts/graphs, spreadsheets, books, and other materials. Reviews and evaluates items requiring priority attention. Prepares replies to routine inquires and provides backup material for review. Screens incoming telephone calls and provides assistance exercising good judgment to make proper referral or take a message. Maintains files of all correspondence, reports, manuals, program management books, etc. Assembles new files and books as need arises. Acts as liaison with management and operational personnel within the Kaman structure. Provides administrative support to the Quality and Supply Chain departments on an as-needed basis. Provides backup support for the Presidents executive administrative assistant and Bushings Production Control. Maintains clean and safe work environment. Follows safety and environmental procedures and regulations. Reports safety incidents to supervisor. Makes recommendations for improvements to work processes. Contributes to 5S program in work area. Provides a high level of service to all internal and external customers. Contributes to positive teamwork environment. Performs other duties as assigned. Participates in training/learning other positions. Accomplishes related results as needed.

Qualifications: Education: Associate's degree in Business Administration or related field.
