Job Description
The intern is responsible for assisting the pharmacist in supplying drugs, fluids, and other services provided by the pharmacy. They are involved in observing and learning the accurate management of dispensing and clinical functions within the department, provision of information to other professionals, computer order entry, and provision of appropriate patient care as a member of the pharmaceutical care team. Job responsibilities and assignments may vary with demonstrated skills and qualifications.
Education
Three year diploma school at college level or three years of college
Experience
One year of related experience. Requires a working knowledge of standard practices and procedures.
Licenses & Certifications
Georgia Pharmacy Intern License
Qualifications
Ability to interact and work well in a team oriented environmnet.
Current enrollment in an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy or currently involved in the process of obtaining a pharmacist license in the state of Georgia.
Needs basic computer skills in various program requirements of Microsoft Windows applications such as: Word, Excel, Power Point, and others.
Professional as well as pleasant demeanor when dealing with departmental, interdepartmental, and public personnel.
