Care Manager III or Mental Health Rehabilitation Specialist I, II, III, IV, V

One (1) Full-Time/40hrs/Non-Exempt/$24.15 – $33.60 per hour (DOE)

Available Shift: 11 AM - 7 PM


Additional Pay differentials - must qualify through program, shift, testing, or verification.

*Language Translation - Bi-cultural Spanish ($1.00 per hour)

*Bimodal Bilingualism - ASL Sign Language - Interpret from American Sign Language (ASL) to English, and English to ASL. ($1.00 per hour)

Do you have a passion for helping children, and being a part of a dynamic team that works creatively and collaboratively to understand and support complex children in our community? Behavioral Health Services, is hiring a full-time, experienced Care Manager or Mental Health Rehabilitation Specialist to provide individual rehabilitation services in Mendocino County, maintaining a full case load of clients, and competence to document for Medi-Cal services. Assist in providing self-care & behavior training & support for children & youth as required by each individual’s presenting needs. Under the direction of a Licensed Clinician, is responsible for planning and implementing one-to-one therapeutic contact with community-based children referred by Counties. Participates as a member of the child's treatment team and collaborates with family and community members to best support and help clients with their specified behavioral objectives. Must be able to drive personal vehicle for work related duties and transport of clients. 100,000 / 300,000 Liability Insurance required. This position involves working extended hours into the evening to accommodate clients who need services after school, ensuring client's prioritize their education.


Classifications and Qualifications for CM/MHRS 

  • CM III: An individual who has at least four (4) years of full-time/equivalent (FTE) experience in a mental health-related field proving direct mental health services. Up to two (2) years of the four (4) years of experience can be substituted by years of education in a mental health-related field. There is a minimum requirement of two (2) years of actual work experience.*
    • *The education requirement for a CM III - must be a minimum of two (2) years of education (60 semester or 90 quarter units) with a minimum of 12 semesters (18 quarter) units in a mental health-related subject area such as child development, social work, human behavior, rehabilitation, psychology, or alcohol and drug counseling. 
  • MHRS I: Associate degree +6 years working with at-risk clients in a mental health setting
  • MHRS I: Bachelor's degree +4 years working with at-risk clients in a mental health setting
  • MHRS III:  Master's degree +2 years working with at-risk clients in a mental health setting. 
  • MHRS IV & V: Meets requirements of MHRS I,II, or III. Including additional requirements and experience outlined in the scope of work. *Job Description will be provided.   

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: This position may work within ALL other agency programs, consistent with their scope of practice, on a as needed basis. In addition, may require occasional flexible work schedule to meet the individualized needs of each client.   


Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: CA Driver's License, Current Auto Insurance, Clean DMV Printout (no more than 3 points on driving record). Clear background check w/ DOJ, CACI, FBI. CPR and First Aid Certified. TB Exam and Physical at the time of employment.  


Training:

  • RCS provides an in-depth onboarding and training orientation, which includes CPR/First Aid, Crisis Communication/Pro-ACT, Trauma-Informed Care, Motivational Interviewing, Collaborative Problem Solving, introductions to all RCS departments, and other valuable trainings.
