Cardiovascular Technician

The Cardiovascular Technician is responsible for performing all non-invasive testing in the Cardiology Department including, but not limited to, Electrocardiograms, Cardiac Stress Testing, Holter Monitoring, Electroencephalograms, along with various technical, clinical, and clerical duties such as recording and processing EKG tracings to obtain data for use in diagnosis of cardiac disorders.<br> <br>This position is part of the 1199SEIU Bargaining Unit at Cooley Dickinson Hospital.<br> <br>This position reports to the Supervisor, Cardiology Services and operates within established organizational and departmental policies and procedures.<br> <br> <b>Qualifications</b> <br> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent required </li> <li>Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required</li> <li>Completion of an EKG reading course preferred, otherwise required within 6 months of hire</li> <li>Demonstrated expertise with typing, Dictaphone, and medical terminology preferred</li></ul> <br> <br> <b>EEO Statement</b> <br> It is the policy of Cooley Dickinson Health Care to provide equal employment opportunity (EEO) to all persons regardless of age, color, national origin, citizenship status, physical or mental disability, race, religion, creed, gender, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and/or expression, genetic information, marital status, status with regard to public assistance, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local law.
