As we continue to expand, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Buyer to join our team in Pewaukee, WI!<br><br>As a Buyer, you'll be an integral part of our team, responsible for the management of specific products within the CFR supply chain through the identification and management of suppliers, placing of purchase orders and management of performance. When you join CFR you can expect to receive competitive compensation, a flexible schedule, and a dynamic work environment where innovation thrives alongside tradition.<br><br><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong><br><ul><li>Understand the market to identify potential suppliers to meet organization's needs by evaluating price competitiveness, quality, delivery capabilities, and reputation.</li><li>Manage supplier performance and capabilities through in-person supplier visits, and the use of metrics for quality, delivery, and price.</li><li>Issue purchase orders for assigned products and services, negotiate pricing, and ensure supplier compliance, especially delivery dates and quantity/quality; resolve invoice discrepancies.</li><li>Ensure optimal inventory levels are maintained to minimize costs while ensuring a high level of service; proactively avoid material shortages.</li><li>Facilitate the proactive and timely flow of information between the supply base and key internal customers.</li><li>Ability to read and interpret drawings. Be able to discuss technical requirements with suppliers such as dimensions, tolerances, finishes, and other aspects of manufacturing.</li><li>Identify and drive cost reduction and cost avoidance opportunities. Participate in cost-reduction projects.</li><li>Work closely with Supplier Quality to discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services to determine the source of trouble and take corrective action to minimize the impact on production.</li></ul><br><strong>What We're Looking For:</strong><br><br><strong>Education:</strong> Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or other related discipline required.<br><br><strong>Experience: </strong>3-5 years experience in purchasing/procurement in a manufacturing environment is desired.<br><br><strong>Software:</strong> Experience working with an ERP system (Epicor is a plus); experience in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and Outlook).<br><br><strong>Organized: </strong>Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan, manage, and prioritize multiple tasks with attention to detail.<br><br><strong>Team player:</strong> Ability to work cross-functionally and in a team environment.<br><br><strong>Problem solver: </strong>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.<br><br><strong>Intercultural sensitivity:</strong> International and intercultural experience and sensitivity required<br><br><strong>Communication:</strong> Excellent communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills<br><br><strong>Negotiation: </strong>Strong negotiation skills<br><br><strong>Motivated: </strong>Self-motivated, self-starter capable of remaining flexible to changing work priorities.<br><br><strong>Comprehensive Benefits:</strong><br><br><strong>Health Insurance: </strong>Competitive medical, dental, and vision insurance plans for you and your family.
