Business Development Manager

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for growing full truck-load freight brokerage sales as well as laying the groundwork for a sales team. This position will be expected to meet sales and margin goals. The chosen candidate will have a unique opportunity to be a part of a growing team with an excellent reputation within the industry. Teamwork, creativity, and the determination and drive to find the best solution for our customers is the focus of the department.

What you get to do

• Meet monthly sales and margin goals
• Work closely with the Ops team to cover customers freight needs
• Support the sales team in building out structure
• Actively source and onboard new freight and customers
• Leverage technology to enhance service to the customer and to strengthen the capability of Sunrise Logistics
• Assist in creating effective marketing and brand establishment within the produce industry

What you need

• 3-5 years freight brokerage experience in the produce or refrigerated industry
• Self-starter with a desire for growth and excellent customer service
• Experience within the refrigerated transportation industry
• Track record of continuously improving and working to better one’s self within a business role
• Proven experience in effective planning and problem solving within a team environment
• Exceptional computer and Microsoft Office skills required
