The Role

The Junior Photo Editor / Project Coordinator will collaborate with the Creative Manager, Product Managers, Technical Services, and external resources to facilitate the production of media for product campaigns, marketing, and general branding. This position encompasses responsibilities in digital asset management, photo editing, and project coordination to contribute to the production of visual media for MAPEI USA. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to production workflows, organizational efficiency, and assist in the creation of a variety of still and video assets.

Responsibilities
  • Integrate seamlessly into the Marketing Team to help plan, organize, shoot, ingest, edit, and deliver engaging, high-quality assets for a variety of brand ecosystems.
  • Work with the Marketing Manager to coordinate in-studio and on-location photo/video shoots.
  • Maintain a solution-based mindset, receiving direct feedback from various stakeholders to produce and capture assets for 360 campaigns.
  • Create frameworks, workflows, and assets, ensuring production quality follows brand guidelines and delivery schedules.
  • Maintain a safe and secure on-set environment for all talent, production staff, and visitors.
  • Edit, cull, color correct, crop and adjust, retouch, keyword, tag, export and archive photography from each shoot.
  • Follow all department-defined file naming, tagging, coding structures, and practices for archiving footage
  • Manage agile timelines and production schedules by consistently communicating and collaborating with Managers and the team.
  • Prioritize projects based on personal/team bandwidth and deadlines, proactively identifying opportunities to improve processes and drive innovation.
  • Develop and implement best practices in both pre and post production.
  • Lead ongoing status, pre- and post-production meetings keeping various stakeholders up to date on any bottlenecks or department needs.
  • Help coordinate, organize, source materials, props and talent for all studio shoots.
  • Maintain awareness of rights and usage, including stock sources or subscription-based accounts in partnership with legal and outsourced content contractors.
  • Champion a team mindset with a passion for crafting, executing, and delivering motivating content.
  • Diplomatically handle day-to-day escalations, problem-solve, and troubleshoot challenges while maintaining a consistent output.
  • Perform assigned tasks in conformance with procedures and instructions established in the Business Management System (BMS) and in compliance with applicable Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) regulatory requirements.
  • Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communication, Design, Graphics, Art, Photography, or related field. (preferred)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Suite, Capture One, Frame.io, Photoshelter, Davinci Resolve a plus
  • Experience in digital asset management or related roles (DAM Manager).
  • Previous experience/knowledge with DAM systems, ie Photoshelter, Capture One Pro editing software, digital content strategy and project management, Canon and Black Magic camera systems.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Capture One Pro, and Davinci Resolve.
  • Understanding of graphic design and multimedia production processes.
  • Strong knowledge in Microsoft Office suite, Excel, Word & Outlook
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and written/verbal communication.
  • Understanding of color theory, framing, and basic photography principles essential.
  • Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
