Would you like to work a short late-afternoon shift?

What:
  • We're hiring Part-Time After Care Program Assistants .
  • The program is led and run by the Park District.
  • Job Function: Be an Aide to a student with a disability - helping them socialize, play, and Have Fun!
  • Job Title: Inclusion Support Staff .
Where:
  • Carol Stream elementary schools' gymnasiums and playgrounds.
Hours/Schedule:
  • We're flexible - even if your availability is limited.
  • Weekday Afternoons (Mon - Fri); but you select which days are best for you .
  • Hours vary. Shifts are 2 to 4 hours long : Mondays 2:15 - 6pm; Tue - Fri 3:45 - 6pm.
  • Depending on your availability and willingness, you could work anywhere between 2 to 14 hours weekly .
  • We ask that you commit for the duration of the semester or full school year, which runs from 8/21/24 - 5/30/25 .
  • When there is no school (holidays, breaks, & cancellations), the program does not run.

Qualifications:
  • Experience in providing direct support to individuals with special needs .
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Candidates must be Age 16+ , with access to transportation.
