Position Summary: Our client is looking for an experienced asphalt paving crew that has at least combined total of 2 years of operatingand/or performing the following: paving, screed, raking, and shovelling. The successful candidate shall also have a valid driver's license with a clean record.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with safety policies and procedures.
• Perform and monitor Paving Operations for depth, yield, cross slope, and density compliance.
• Ensure crew and trucks operate efficiently, determining asphalt tonnage and mix type.
• Maintain and clean assigned equipment, reporting necessary repairs promptly.
• Park equipment safely, following clear zone requirements
• Ensure all equipment is fueled and filled with water at the end of each shift.
• Complete Daily Equipment Condition Reports and submit them daily.

Requirements/Qualifications:

• 2+ years of demonstrable industry-related experience required with an emphasis on asphalt paving activities.
• An understanding of the road construction industry and the ability to work under deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Understanding of OSHA regulations pertaining to road construction and asphalt operations
• Capable of heavy lifting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crawling, crouching, and reaching
• Must be able to meet all safety requirements and applicable safety policies.
• Able to work outdoors with periodic exposure to environment with high levels of noise, grease, and dust that is typically associated with a construction project.
• Demonstrates strong leadership abilities and excels as a collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills.
• High attention to detail, quality craftsmanship, and a safety-focused mindset
• Adaptive to different personalities and management styles
• Dedicated and hardworking
