JOB SUMMARY:
AXIS Automation is looking for a Bookkeeper to work directly with the Director of Finance to work with the company's accounts, making sure that every transaction, deposit and income is recorded in the company ledger. Bookkeepers use software to track these numbers, sometimes take in cash and checks, and record the transactions. Bookkeepers are often called upon to produce reports to help explain to management where company money is going and make sure that any discrepancies in the financial records are reconciled. We are looking for a professional with a proven track record of accomplishments in admin and data entry that is eager to learn multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

ACCOUNTABILITY:
- Produce correct financial data
- Daily accounting entries including AR/AP/OC/INV
- Reconcile accounting discrepancies with vendors and customers
- Provide accurate monthly reconciliations by the 10th of the month
- Generate and distribute financial data in a timely manner
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Accounts payable
- Accounts receivable
- Accounts reconciliation
- Job order processing and evaluation of estimated vs. actual costs
- Assist with monthly account close
- Compile reports
- Industry research and cost cutting methods
- Data entry and general administrative functions
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma - Associate’s in Business Administration or equivalent preferred
- 2-5 years accounting experience in manufacturing or related work experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, spreadsheets and databases and using accounting software
- Strong communication and Math skills are crucial
- Confidentiality is critical when working with the company’s financial documents
- Attention to details and deadlines are essential
- Excellent organizational skills
- Capable of prioritizing work in a fast-paced environment
DESIRED BUT NOT REQUIRED:
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus+
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (and ADDITIONAL NOTES):
- Working conditions are normal for clerical work in a manufacturing environment
- Requires the use of PSPE including steel toe shoes and safety glasses in manufacturing areas
