Job Purpose:

To provide therapeutic, educational goals and objectives (and implement them) with students with special needs to help teach skills. Provides goals and training to classroom teachers and parents for their home environment utilizing principles of Behavior Analysis. To help in behavior deceleration and skill acquisition.

Help teachers create meaningful lesson plans to teach appropriate skills to individual students and groups of students.

Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments and create Behavior Intervention Plans

Train parents and other staff in effective methods for teaching new behaviors and eliminating aberrant behaviors.

Intervene or monitor behavior change plans

Monitor student progress and adapt programming as needed.

Creates meaningful goals and objectives for students and their IEP’s.

Attends IEP’s

Is a team player with assistants, classroom teachers, and other related service personnel

Maintains neat student records, lesson plans, data, and progress reports

Analyzes data

Reports progress to teachers and parents

Attends parent/teachers conferences

Is a part of the transition planning team for students 14 and older

*Skills/Qualifications:*
* Previous experience preferred; good communication and telephone skills, fluent and clear English skills, some Spanish skills preferred but not required organization, and professionalism.
* Education: Masters Degree/Certification in Behavior Analysis (BCBA)
* Federal background check clearance
* Ambulatory
* Free of Drugs and Alcohol
* Friendly disposition and team player
* Hearing and vision within the normal limits
* *The rate of pay is contingent on experience, education and/or certification level*
