<strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities </strong>include the following. Other duties may be assigned.<br> <ul> <li>Observes operation of the machine and verifies conformance of machined workpiece to specifications, using measuring instruments, such as fixed gauges and scales.</li> <li>Examines and feels the surface of the piece for defects.</li> <li>Guides dressing tool across the wheel to the true surface.</li> <li>Maintains ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.</li> <li>Maintains adjustments on angles for taper.</li> <li>Maintains knowledge on how to dress grinding wheel and regulation rolls.</li> <li>Maintains knowledge of how to power up, power down, start, and stop the machine.</li> <li>Maintains the ability and knowledge to make size adjustments.</li> <li>Polishes ground areas with finer abrasive to produce a smooth, unmarred surface.</li> <li>Read size sheets for product specifications, such as dimensions and tolerances and tooling instructions such as cutting speed, depth of cut, and determines sequence of operation.</li> <li>Maintains knowledge on chemicals such as acids and methanol for checking of burns on finish part.</li> <li>Starts grinder and moves it over surface of work piece to remove scratches, laminated metal, excess weld material, and burrs.</li> <li>Checks parts for stock amount.</li> <li>Starts pump and direct coolant flow against wheel.</li> <li>Maintains check on oil levels on daily basis.</li> <li>Works in teams.</li> <li>Performs daily inspections on equipment.</li> <li>Perform preventive maintenance per instructions for machine.</li> <li>Record required information, either in written or electronic form, pertinent to production, quality, and time records.</li> <li>Perform any other job-related duties per direction of supervisor or lead person.</li> <li>Follow all safety and housekeeping rules, policies, and procedures.</li> </ul><img src="https://counter.adcourier.com/YmJnZW5lcmljLjU1ODg5LjEyNTI0QHJiY2NvbXAuYXBsaXRyYWsuY29t.gif">
