Summary:

As a Senior Application Security Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security of applications and infrastructure for connected services. This role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security solutions to remediate identified vulnerabilities and would involved in application development too. Essential Functions

Engineers need to have strong development skills in Java, GoLang, AWS services, and possibly mobile application development. Hands on development experience needed as this role requires development as scope. Conduct security assessments on applications, including static and dynamic code analysis, to identify vulnerabilities. Provide reports/artifacts, recommendations for remediations. Work with multiple teams to remediate the identified vulnerabilities, and to engineer and implement solutions to meet security standards, and guidelines. Assess and enhance the security posture of cloud-based environments, such as AWS. Responds to information system security incidents, including investigation of, countermeasures to, and recovery from computer-based attacks, unauthorized access, and policy breaches; interacts and coordinates with third-party incident responders, including law enforcement. Develop and maintain application security controls and countermeasures. Collaborate on security research activities such as testing tools, and emerging threats that may have an adverse impact on cybersecurity.

Required Education and Experience

Minimum 5-7 years of hands-on cyber security and application ddevelopment experience required. B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Security or relevant work experience. Strong development skills in Java and GoLang. Experience with AWS services and cloud security best practices. Experience with network security and networking technologies and with system, security, and network monitoring tools. Experience with security tools and technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, SIEM, and vulnerability management. Thorough understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols.
