LHH is partnering with a client in Suffolk County to fill a Billing Specialist position. This is a temp to perm opportunity doing project for billing, which includes a detailed review of revenue lines and expenses associated with the project. This position is onsite Monday thru Friday.
Responsibilities:
Respond to billing inquiries and requests from clients via phone, email, or online chat in a timely and professional manner.
Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, disputes, and issues, collaborating with internal teams as needed to ensure prompt resolution.
Process billing adjustments, refunds, and credits accurately and efficiently, following established procedures and guidelines.
Review customer accounts and billing records to ensure accuracy and completeness, identifying and correcting errors as needed.
Assist with account reconciliations, billing reconciliations, and other financial reporting tasks as assigned.
Provide support to the billing department with data entry, invoice generation, and other administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; with 3 to 5 years of Billing experience.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and internal teams.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and resolve issues efficiently.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
Experience with billing software or accounting systems is a plus.
Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications. Salary range: Hourly rate from $25-$32 an hour
