Primary Job Responsibilities

Constantly and consistently exhibit Weekapaug Inn core values and standards of behavior including adherence to the Forbes 5-Star standards..

Meet and greet guests warmly.

Load guest luggage onto bell cart.

Escort guests to their room while engaging in pleasant conversation, sharing information about the Ocean House amenities, activities, dining and history.

Provide a thorough room orientation and address any and all guest requests promptly and courteously.

Park and retrieve guest vehicles as quickly and safely as possible.

Provide guests with warm farewells and invite them to return.

Secondary Responsibilities:

Provide room deliveries.

Respond to guest requests.

Maintain room number and key control and confidentiality.

Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

Certifications/Licenses:

Must posses and maintain a current and valid driver's license

Past Work Experience:

Prior hotel or equivalent guest service experience preferred


Communication:

Exceptional ability to engage in friendly, polite conversation.

Must speak clearly and understandably.

Very good phone skills.

Physical Requirements:

Environment: Position requires performance of duties both indoors and outdoors. May be exposed to inclement weather and hot and cold temperatures.

Body Mechanics: Position requires constant standing and walking as well as significant stooping, bending and reaching. Requires regular lifting of 40 pounds or more. Required to move rapidly (beyond a walking pace) in order to retrieve vehicles from valet lot as quickly and safely as possible.
