You’ll join a fast-paced, innovative Seacoast New Hampshire producer of patented plant-based ingredients used in new generations of consumer products. The ideal candidate for this leadership position is a self-directed and energetic manager with the knowledge, experience, and confidence to lead operations and develop new production capabilities. Key elements will include managing onsite and contract manufacturing production, including safety, quality control, production, and third-party management. Responsibilities of the Operations Director Direct the Company's onsite and third-party production operations for 100% on-time customer order fulfillment with product that meets specified quality parameters, including but not limited to production planning, materials procurement and receipt, primary chemical production, and management of contract manufacturers. Lead continuous improvement of the Company's operations to reduce product costs and meet demand growth, including developing an effective operations team and implementing investments in the operations. Develop, monitor, communicate, and take corrective actions on key performance metrics to assure product quality, product costs, and product fulfillment. Assure that the Company's production facility is in safe operating condition, including but not limited to safety procedures and protocols, repairs and maintenance, and overall housekeeping. Develop and maintain superior knowledge of the production processes for Itaconix chemistries. Qualifications of the Operations Director Bachelor's or advanced degree in a relevant field of study. At least 10 years of experience in leading commercial materials production, preferably in specialty chemicals. Demonstrated excellence in managing operations, including the procurement and installation of new equipment, the development of operating teams, and management of contract manufacturers. Demonstrated ability to establish performance metrics and be held accountable for results. Strong established track record for executing production improvements and expansions. Proven ability to complete multiple projects without direct supervision. Excellent verbal, written, presentation and information communications skills with an ability to adapt communication style for the situation. This is a full-time, onsite position in Stratham, New Hampshire. Compensation starts at $110,000 or higher based on experience and capabilities with regular reviews and advancement based on performance. Compensation includes healthcare benefits, stock options, and annual bonus potential.
