Job Title: Systems Engineer Location: Sterling Heights, MI Position Type: Full-Time Travel Requirements: Less than 10% of the time Position Summary: Join the dynamic and fast-paced environment of engineering innovation for the U.S. Army. As a Cintel professional in Sterling Heights, MI, you'll collaborate closely with the U.S. Army Ground Vehicle Systems Center. This role offers a challenging and diverse career, focusing on the development of next-generation manned and unmanned ground vehicles, robotics, vehicle electronics, and advanced ground vehicle simulation technologies. Utilize your engineering expertise in multidisciplinary research projects focused on ground combat vehicles. Your knowledge and experience in areas such as embedded systems development and integration, computer vision, machine learning, and autonomous navigation will be crucial in advancing optionally manned systems for DoD Science and Technology communities. Strong customer interaction and relationship management are essential in this role, so the ideal candidate should be personable, well-informed, and possess excellent communication skills. The candidate should have proven experience in embedded systems development, with familiarity in various engineering processes, methodologies, and lifecycle stages involved in designing vehicle system and subsystem architectures. This role may also involve leading programs or sub-projects, where you’ll work closely with clients to understand and break down complex platform requirements into structured and manageable engineering tasks across multiple disciplines. Required Qualifications: U.S. Citizenship Required. Ability to obtain and maintain an Active Secret Clearance.. Bachelor of Science or higher in related engineering or science discipline. At least 10+ years of related experience. Experience with vehicle systems and leadership responsibilities in a large project or effort. Ability to work within a team environment to direct and contribute to a Vehicle Network and Data Architecture and Application Integration concepts. Experience performing Functional Decomposition and Capability Development methods to develop new architectures. Subsystem and System level integration and testing on vehicle electronics systems. Excellent technical, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Ability to Travel to various customer and contractor facilities and test centers. Experience in developing and executing System Level Plans. Experience with developing and integrating data networks that cross multiple layers of information security (Secure vs Non-Secure Networks). Experience with Deterministic and Non-Deterministic Data Bus Architectures. Desired Qualifications: Process development and improvement management (CMMI). Preference given to candidates with experience in Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) or Digital Engineering (DE) such as SysML, using tools such as MagicDraw/Cameo. (Please note that experience with MATLAB and Simulink does not count toward this desired skillset) Preference given to candidates with experience with military systems in a large project or effort. Experience with developing and integrating data networks that cross security domains (Classified vs Unclassified Networks).
