Avionics Technician

We are seeking a skilled Avionics/Electrical Technician I to join our team at GAC St. Louis. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing system discrepancies to ensure minimum schedule impact.

1. Assist in ensuring quality and efficiency of all installations, troubleshooting processes/concepts to provide timely, quality repairs of malfunctioning systems.
2. Under supervision, perform the installation and functional testing of electrical/avionics components and systems per Engineering specifications, drawings and maintenance manuals ensuring a defect free system.
3. Acquire and demonstrate the skills and knowledge required to effectively and efficiently repair or replace defective components and wiring to ensure installations meet conformity.
4. Perform and comply with engineering changes and modifications as required.
5. Assist in set up and operation of necessary test equipment; conduct functional and operational tests to evaluate performance and reliability.
6. Under supervision, ensure that all work performed on the aircraft is properly and completely documented and ready for inspection.
7. Test and maintain test equipment, electronic systems, and components.
8. Comply with the company FOD program, tool control program, 5-S program and all safety regulations.

1. In support of aircraft certification and final phase testing, may include flight tests on aircraft as required.

This is a full-time position with a salary grade of N7. The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED and 2 years related work experience or two (2) years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics. Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams is required.
