Progressive Dental and Associates, a private dental office, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team. Responsibilities- Perform dental hygiene procedures such as teeth cleanings, scaling, and root planning
- Conduct oral health assessments and aid in develop individualized treatment plans
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide relevant oral health information
- Administer local anesthesia and place dental sealants as needed
- Take dental x-rays and record patient information accurately
- Assist the dentist during procedures and provide chairside support if necessary
- Sterilize dental instruments and maintain a clean and organized work area
Requirements
- Valid Dental Hygiene license in Illinois
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Dental Hygienist
- Strong knowledge of dental hygiene theories, practices, and procedures
- Proficient in taking dental x-rays and using dental software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment and maintain patient confidentiality
- Attention to detail and dedication to providing quality care
- A high level of professionalism and integrity in all interactions
