SUMMARY
The Engagement Specialist will help us retain ICBS participants. In this role, you will deal directly with our participants and the guardian to find out what barriers they are facing, how we may improve our services, and gaining an understanding of why services ended or why services were further declined after the crisis event.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Communicating with participants & guardians
  • Review files for service background on participant for accurate follow up information.
  • Gathering information related to participant and guardian complaints, barriers, or concerns.
  • Develop a plan with participant and guardian for service continuation.
  • Working with ICBS Staff to coordinate intakes and follow up sessions with participants and guardians.
  • Participate in ICBS events and outreach.
  • Creating and maintaining data reports related to participant and guardian complaints, barriers, or concerns.
  • Building positive relationships with participants and guardians
  • All other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or GED and one to two years' experience working with at-risk youth. Bachelor's degree (BA/BS/BSW) preferred.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must be available to work evenings and weekends and flexible in scheduling.
  • This position requires travel within the ICBS service areas; for meetings and community events.
  • Must be able to accept and incorporate constructive feedback.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
  • Valid Illinois driver's license with a clear driving record.
  • Documentation verifying current automobile insurance.
