If you're passionate about quality, continuous improvement, and making a tangible impact, this role is for you!<br><br><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong><br><ul><li><strong>Drive Excellence:</strong> Implement and oversee QA procedures including 1st piece approval, last piece verification, quality gates, and the QA network.</li><li><strong>Champion Continuous Improvement:</strong> Partner with the QA Shop Coordinator to spearhead statistical process control and kaizen activities aimed at enhancing quality characteristics.</li><li><strong>Innovate and Coordinate:</strong> Lead the charge in improving control plans using the occurrence and release (O&R) methodology, and conduct reverse PFMEA (RFMEA) activities on the floor.</li><li><strong>Boost Performance:</strong> Support and drive kaizen activities to enhance First Time Quality (FTQ) performances.</li><li><strong>Lead and Inspire:</strong> Guide the team to eliminate external firewall activities by enhancing plant QA gate performances.</li><li><strong>Implement Error Proofing:</strong> Introduce and implement error-proofing measures and poka-yokes focused on reducing scrap.</li><li><strong>Prevent and Protect:</strong> Develop proactive systems to identify and mitigate potential quality risks and issues before they arise.</li><li><strong>Integrate and Innovate:</strong> Seamlessly integrate the World Class Manufacturing (WCM) Quality Control pillar with a strong emphasis on preventive and proactive approaches.</li><li><strong>Develop Robust Systems:</strong> Create and refine preventive QA matrices and networks to ensure consistent quality assurance across the board.</li></ul><br><strong>Qualifications:</strong><br><br>IDEALLY - This Individual will have experience in 1 of these 3 areas: <br><br><strong> Exterior Lighting</strong><br><br><strong> Plastic Injection Molding</strong><br><br><strong> or Automotive Assembly</strong><br><br><ul><li><strong>Educational Background:</strong> Engineering degree preferred (Mechanical, Aerospace, Production).</li><li><strong>Experience:</strong> Minimum of 3 years in a Quality department within the automotive or aerospace industry.</li><li><strong>Certifications:</strong> ISO TS 16949 internal auditor certification is a plus.</li><li><strong>Technical Skills:</strong> Proficiency in SAP systems and problem-solving.</li><li><strong>Expertise:</strong> Experience with World Class Manufacturing (WCM) methodologies.</li></ul><br><strong>Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):</strong><br><ul><li><strong>First Time Quality (FTQ):</strong> Strive for excellence in first-time quality performance.</li><li><strong>Internal PPM:</strong> Reduce internal parts per million defects.</li><li><strong>O&R Methodology:</strong> Improve occurrence and release metrics.</li><li><strong>Performance Metrics:</strong> Enhance 1st piece performance and quality gate effectiveness.</li><li><strong>Preventive QA:</strong> Increase the percentage of items closed within the preventive QA matrix.</li></ul><br> RELOCATION ASSISTANCE IS AVAILABLE FOR THE RIGHT INDIVIDUAL <br><br>Join us in transforming our quality assurance processes and driving our commitment to excellence.
