Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team. As a Staff Accountant, you will play a key role in our financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles. Duties:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial data
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions
- Assist with the preparation of tax returns and compliance with tax regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial management initiatives
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls

Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 2+ years of experience in accounting or related field
- Strong knowledge of financial acumen and accounting principles
- Proficiency in financial statement preparation and analysis
- Experience with bank reconciliations and double entry bookkeeping
- Familiarity with corporate finance concepts and securities law is a plus
- Knowledge of LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
