Registered Nurse (RN) -Gastroenterology - REMOTE

Part Time 9 Healthcare Dr. Nursing Day Shift For a limited time MaineHealth is offering a $10,000 Sign on bonus for all eligible Registered Nurses with up to 2 years of RN experience and $20,000 for Registered Nurses with greater than 2 years of RN work experience! * Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time RN position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible. * Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months' separation from employment. The licensed Registered Nurse for this position will have Gastroenterology experience and live in the state if Maine or New Hampshire. This position has the opportunity to become fully remote after 3-4 week in person training. Office hours can be decided on that best flits your needs/aligns with the departments needs. * Position Summary *

Assists the physicians in the care and treatment of patients, particularly by responding to telephone calls. Responsible for the delivery of care through the process of assessment, planning and implementation. Position is responsible for providing interventions designed to ensure the coordination and continuity of care and services for at-risk patients with chronic diseases and/or behavioral and mental diagnoses and social-economic issues. Promotes a smooth flow of patients through the office and helps to create a calm, supportive atmosphere. Performs tasks as required, paying attention to detail and accuracy. Conducts all interactions with patients and personnel in a courteous, respectful manner while maintaining confidentiality. The incumbent is required to conduct all job responsibilities consistent with policies, procedures, and in compliance with all applicable laws or mandates relating to patient care and activities. * Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) * Education: N/A * License/Certifications: Current RN licensure from the Maine State Board of Nursing required. BSN preferred. BLS required. * Experience: Minimum of five years or more prior experience in outpatient or hospital setting and understanding of office practice workflow preferred. * Computer literacy * Ability to organize and coordinate multiple activities. * Communicate effectively and positively with staff.
