<b>Job Summary</b><br><br>The AU Special Education - Student Information Systems Analyst, provides complex clerical, technical, and statistical support and assistance in the receiving, screening and processing of student referrals for special education placement on behalf of the Local Educational Agencies (LEAs) participating as members of the Calaveras County SELPA; provide specialized assistance and support in the development, implementation and operation of the computerized Special Education Information System (SEIS), or equivalents; provide training and technical support to administrators, teachers, psychologists, case managers and service providers; and act as a resource for the overall operation of the computerized record keeping system for local, state and federal reporting of special education services and programs.<br><br><b>Requirements / Qualifications</b><br><br>To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Knowledge of: &bull; Principles, methods, techniques, procedures, and practices of modern computerized systems and data information systems. &bull; Appropriate data analysis techniques. &bull; Student information systems and/or school attendance accounting systems. &bull; Office practices and procedures. &bull; English usage, spelling, grammar, editing, and punctuation. Skills: &bull; Perform advanced skills in the use of a computer and software programs, including data entry/retrieval, database management, word processing and spreadsheet applications. &bull; Type accurately at a rate of 50 words per minute. &bull; Ability to make mathematical calculations quickly and accurately. &bull; Maintain cooperative working relationships with other employees, district staff and general public.
