Salary: $40,000 - $46,000

Job Overview & Work Site:
  • Provide medical coverage and injury evaluation for all sports teams during practices, games, and competitions.
  • Develop and implement injury prevention programs tailored to the needs of individual athletes and specific sports.
  • Administer appropriate immediate care for injured athletes on-site and arrange for further medical evaluation or treatment when necessary.
  • Create and manage rehabilitation plans for injured athletes to facilitate safe and timely return to play.
  • Communicate with coaches, parents, and healthcare professionals to ensure all parties are informed about the status of injured athletes.
  • Keep accurate and up-to-date records of injuries, treatments, and progress of each athlete.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe sports environment by inspecting and ensuring proper use of sports equipment and facilities.
  • Educate athletes about nutrition, hydration, and injury prevention techniques.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in sports medicine and best practices in athletic training.

License & Experience:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Athletic Training or a related field.
  • Certification by the National Athletic Trainers' Association Board of Certification (NATABOC).
  • Current state licensure (AL).
  • CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate sports schedules.
  • Previous experience working with high school athletes is a plus.
