This is a full-time position housed at the TCAT-Elizabethton main campus.</p> <div> <p>General Duties</p> </div> <p>The instructor is responsible for:</p> <ul> <li>Providing instruction required by industry in the program discipline.</li> <li>Evaluating the progress of the students and keeping accurate and up-to-date records of the students' progress and attendance.</li> <li>Keeping lab equipment in proper and safe operating condition.</li> <li>Ensuring adequate supplies and equipment are available to operate his/her program.</li> <li>Deliver TBR approved curriculum</li> </ul> <p> </p> <div> <p> <strong>Specific Duties</strong></p> </div> <p>The instructor is responsible for but not limited to the following duties:</p> <ul> <li>Assist in program recruiting including reaching out to high schools and community.</li> <li>Act as a liaison between robust high school dual enrollment programs and the institution</li> <li>Establish and maintain active Occupational Advisory Committee.</li> <li>Conduct a program through which the needs of students, industry, and business are met.</li> <li>Keep the program abreast and up-to-date with industry standards by meeting and collaborating with industry leaders on technology advances related to program and occupation.</li> <li>Ensure program aligns with all TCAT Elizabethton, TBR, and COE policies.</li> <li>Maintain accurate student records-progress, knowledge, attendance, etc.</li> <li>Assist in the placement of students, track student placement and completion data</li> <li>Continue professional development as specified in institutional and TBR Policy.</li> <li>Support TCAT-Elizabethton marketing and social media as needed</li> <li>Deliver curriculum and instruction in person and remotely</li> <li>Other duties as assigned.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <div> <p> <strong>Qualifications</strong></p> </div> <ul> <li>Minimum of a high school diploma or the equivalent.</li> <li>At least three years of successful full-time employment in the Administrative Office Technology field.</li> <li>Associates degree preferred</li> </ul> <div> <p>Knowledge and Abilities</p> </div> <ul> <li>Administrative Office Technology instructor should possess knowledge of computers and be proficient with MS Office Suite, QuickBooks, and other appropriate software and applications. </li> </ul> <ul> <li>The instructor shall possess a thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of the technical program being taught.</li> <li>The instructor shall possess a thorough knowledge of the materials, tools and equipment used in his/her area of specialty.</li> <li>Knowledge of the principles and methods of good teaching and supervision shall be demonstrated.</li> <li>The instructor shall possess the ability to deal tactfully and pleasantly with co-workers and the public, and to exercise good judgment in evaluating situations and making decisions; to express clearly, concisely and convincingly; and to plan and direct the work of others. </li> </ul> <div> <p> <strong>Salary Range</strong></p> </div> <p>Starting $50,142 - $60, 171 annually</p> <p>Commensurate with education and experience and according to salary guidelines established by the Tennessee Board of Regents.</p> <p> <strong> </strong></p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> <em>The Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, creed, ethnicity or national origin, sex, disability, age, status as protected veteran or any other class protected by Federal or State laws and regulations and by Tennessee Board of Regents policies with respect to employment, programs and activities. </em></p><img src="https://counter.adcourier.com/YmJnZW5lcmljLjU3MDczLjEyNTI0QG1zY2NvbXAuYXBsaXRyYWsuY29t.gif">
