Job Description Job Description The Assistant Manager supports leadership with the management of staff and day-to-day operations for the assigned area of responsibility. In this role, the individual is accountable to deliver established goals, utilizes good judgment to assess and escalate situations when warranted and utilizes knowledge and skills in the area of expertise while maintaining expected quality standards. The Assistant Manager must act as a leader by building constructive relationships and by supporting department leadership in developing, setting and executing department goals and the strategic plan in accordance with Family Health Center of Marshfield's mission statement.


JOB QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.

Minimum Required :

One of the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, management or a technical field related to the position and one year experience relative to the technical function of the role to include one year in a leadership role that demonstrated personal leadership effectiveness and team-building strategies.
  • Associates degree in business, management or a technical field related to the position and three years’ experience relative to the technical function of the role to include one year in a leadership role that demonstrated personal leadership effectiveness and team-building strategies.
  • High school diploma or equivalent and five years’ experience relative to the technical function of the role to include two years in a leadership role that demonstrated personal leadership effectiveness and team-building strategies.

Preferred/Optional: B achelor’s degree in business, management or technical field related to the position and one year experience relative to the technical function of the role, to include one year in a leadership role that demonstrated personal leadership effectiveness and team building strategies related to the technical function of the role.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES

The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.

Minimum Required : Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire.

Preferred/Optional: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire.

PATIENT POPULATIONS SERVED Individuals hired are expected to serve patients of different ages, backgrounds, etc. When performing the essential functions of the role, the individual must identify the patient age group to be served and apply the appropriate care based on the patient’s age and background. The hiring manager is responsible for communicating the patient population generally encountered in the role and is responsible for ensuring the appropriate cultural, age and related training needed to serve the patient populations.
