<p>Essential Functions: </p> <p>•Responds to production problems or user calls. Determines cause of problem and resolves problem or <br />obtains necessary help in resolving problem. Instructs users or operations in solution.<br />• Discusses programs or change requirements with users and other analysts. Defines functional <br />requirements such as user requests for a new report or a systems enhancement.<br />• For smaller enhancements, writes program specifications or list of functional requirements. May prepare <br />estimates of time or resources required.<br />• With minimal or no assistance, codes programs based on assigned specifications or own specifications, <br />creates test plans, tests programs and may review test results.<br />• Writes documentation or prepares help screens for users, operations and future program maintenance. <br />Advises users on systems use.<br />• Typical projects include design of a systems enhancement or programming involving data extraction, data <br />creation, updating multiple files, storage and databases, data presentation, as well as reporting.<br />• Attends training and meetings, and reads and studies for personal development to learn about the <br />business and to keep current with the professional field. <br />• Identifies and responds actively to the needs of all customers in alignment with the values and goals of the <br />company and is open and responsive to change.</p> <p>Decision-Making/Supervisory: Receives general review of functional specifications and task priorities from a project leader or supervisor. <br />Receives detailed review of program specifications. May provide guidance or instruction to other employees in demonstrating how to perform tasks or resolve <br />problems.<p>Problems encountered include finding and correcting operational errors, determining how to design a systems <br />enhancement and testing programs and systems.</p> <p>Works with user staff, project leaders and supervisors and other technical staff to determine functional <br />requirements for programs, systems enhancements or to resolve operational problems. Participates in team <br />interaction.</p> <p>Must have some experience in data analysis, accessing data via SQL queries, and report design.
