Required License/Registration/CertificationLicensed Pharmacist Physical RequirementsThis position requires intermittently sitting at a computer workstation and performing tasks with repetitive motions (such as typing); occasionally standing or walking with objects weighing up to 25 pounds; and lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Also involves risk of injuries from use of equipment on the job; working in confined spaces; and exposure to blood-borne or airborne pathogens, hazardous chemicals and fumes including waste, and cuts/punctures. ShiftDay shift, 8:00am 5:00pm with some holiday/weekend requirements. Hours and days of the week are subject to change based on the needs and growth of the department. Holidays/weekends are not currently a requirement, but always subject to change. Requires some on-call shifts. Job SummaryIn this position, the candidate will have a focus on the implementation and maintenance of Willow Ambulatory. They will also be involved with implementing and maintaining pharmacy systems and workflows. Responsibilities include serving as a liaison between Information Technology on pharmacy system optimization projects for all outpatient spaces maintaining a focus on quality, safety and compliance.; creating education materials and providing education on outpatient pharmacy systems with a focus on Willow Ambulatory; assist in facilitating the formulary review process for specialty and non-specialty medications; participating in appropriate health system and/or departmental committees relevant to practice area; and establishing safe practices for outpatient therapy handling, as well as collaborating and communicating with multidisciplinary team members involved in providing services to patients. Optimize EHR support to assist with outpatient pharmacy workflow and data requirements. Assist in the development and testing of pharmacy orders and workflows. Also responsible for supervising PharmD students, undergraduate and graduate student teaching, and providing educational programs for hospital staff. Skills / Knowledge / AbilitiesStrong clinical skills; knowledge of inpatient drug distribution and dispensing; ability to prioritize; excellent communication skills; a team mentality; desire to teach; and motivation are required to excel in this position. Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? NoPreferred Education/ExperiencePharmD and completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY1 residency program (or equivalent experience) preferred.
