Job Summary:Airframe & Powerplant technicians are certified and licensed by the Federal Aviation Administration to perform maintenance, scheduled and unscheduled on airframes and engines on aircraft registered in the United States of America. The shift for this position will be Monday-Friday 7am-330pm.Essential Duties:Examine replacement aircraft parts for defectsDiagnose mechanical or electrical problemsRead and understand maintenance manuals and other technical documents and identify repair proceduresRepair wings, brakes, electrical systems and other aircraft componentsReplace defective parts using approved toolingTest aircraft parts with proper diagnostic equipmentInspect complete work for compliance and performance standardsReview and research aircraft recordsInterpret flight test data to diagnose malfunction and performance problemsAssemble aircraft components, perform required measurement and testingInstall system software and databasesEducation and/or Experience: Possess FAA Airframe, Power plant or Airframe and Power plant Certificate or equivalent work experience (Repairman Certificate eligible)Practical experience preferredCirrus SR2X Experience/Factory Training a plusAircraft paint and refinishing experience a plusAdditional Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities:Knowledge of Federal Aviation Administration Regulations Certificates or Licensures: FAA Airframe, Power Plant or Airframe and Power Plant CertificateOther Duties:Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
