We are currently seeking a passionate and motivated Agricultural Sales Representative to join our team.

Job Purpose/Scope: As an Agricultural Sales Representative, you will be responsible for selling equipment, products, and services to customers in a rural market. Your role will involve onsite customer appointments, as well as traveling to and from customer locations. This position requires a valid driver’s license.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

Sales

  • Receive orders from customers in person, via email, or over the phone.
  • Identify new and innovative products that would benefit existing customers and set up appointments to discuss them.
  • Consult with customers to suggest improvements for their existing equipment.
  • Demonstrate the use of new agricultural equipment to customers.
  • Develop sales contracts and complete paperwork within assigned guidelines.
  • Document all customer and sales activity in the dealer Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database.

Prospecting

  • Create a list of prospective clients on a regular basis.
  • Work with the sales team to identify new customer acquisition strategies.
  • Develop sales tools to share with prospective clients.

Customer Service

  • Provide customers with information on estimated delivery schedules, contracts, warranties, and other related topics.
  • Address customer questions, requests, complaints, and needs in a positive and timely manner.

Experience & Educational Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of progressive agriculture/construction equipment-related sales experience and/or education.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
  • Ability to perform general mathematical calculations.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed.
  • Exceptional customer service orientation.
  • A strong working knowledge of farm implement equipment and associated parts/services required by customers.

Additional Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license.
  • CDL or CMV certification preferred but not required.
  • Willingness to travel frequently for onsite customer appointments.
