Position Title: Administrative Assistant
Location: Owosso, MI
Shift: Days, M-F 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
Position Type: Contract/Temp - 14 weeks

Qualifications:
3+ Years as an Administrative Assistant - Required
Healthcare Experience - Required
Associate Degree in Business Administration or related field - Highly Preferred

Job Description:
Under the general supervision of the Associate Vice-President of Practice Management and the Director of Practice Management the Administrative Assistant provides administrative support services including coordination, planning, recording, and managing of schedules, appointments, meetings, events, assigned projects, answering and placing phone calls, and drafting correspondence. Attends meetings, records, transcribes and maintains minutes and various related administrative support services. Strives for superior performance by consistently providing a product or service to leadership and staff that is recognized as ultimately contributing to the patient and family experience. Recognizes and demonstrates understanding of patient and family-centered care.

Responsibilities:
1. Supports the vice president of the hospital, Associate Vice-President of Practice Management and Anesthesiology Services, Associate Vice-President of Neurology/Clinical Research, and the Directors or Practice Management in daily operations to include calendars and schedules.
2. Perform administrative office assistant duties for MMA Administration, including but not limited to:
-Attend designated meetings, record minutes, and type and maintain minutes.
-Maintain and update as needed job descriptions.
-Demonstrate strong computer skills in Microsoft Office Programs. Perform keyboarding, proofing, copying, indexing, and distribution of Policies and Procedures, meetings, agendas, and other items.
-Coordinate Department and Operational meetings as requested.
-Support the Vice-President and legal counsel about employee agreements and leases.
-Works closely with the Michigan State Loan Repayment Program and providers enrolled within the program.
-Assists with processing capital budget requests.
-Receive, prioritize, and disseminate administrative calls to the appropriate leader.
-Manage hospital-wide, quarterly provider events to include All Provider BusMeetingseeting and the Advanced Practice Provider Meeting.
-Support and assist Leadership specific projects and activities.
3. Maintain strict confidentiality at all times.
4. Types, distributes, and maintains necessary documents.
5. Manages invoices related to MMA.
6. Process payroll for MMA administrative members.
7. Answers correspondence and requests on own initiative. Must be able to draft and compose correspondence on their own.
8. Demonstrate knowledge of and support of hospital mission, vision, and value statements, standards, policies, procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality statements, corporate compliance plan, and standards of behavior.
9. Perform other duties as necessary with supervision.
10. Maintain flexibility of schedule to attend early morning and evening meetings as needed.
