Job Description
Job Summary:
Plans and provides an ongoing program of activities designed to meet, in accordance with the comprehensive assessment, the interests and the physical, mental and psychosocial well-being of each patient.
Essential Job Duties:
  • Plans and provides activities appropriate to the needs of the patients on a daily basis.
  • Plans activities for evening and weekend times and coordinates with other staff to carry out plan.
  • Assesses patient needs and develops treatment plan accordingly.
  • Properly documents progress notes in electronic medical record.
  • Participates with the director in developing an activity budget.
  • Attends treatment review meetings daily and reports patient participation.
Secondary Job Duties That May be Reassigned:
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Job Specifications:
  • Education:
  • Licensure as a qualified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist or Activities Professional Certified by a recognized accrediting body preferred, but not required.
  • Experience: Placement or experience in mental health setting preferable.
