Accounts Receivable Manager

Nassau Candy is a premier importer, manufacturer, and distributor of specialty confections, fine foods, and promotional products.

We are currently seeking a well-rounded Accounts Receivable Manager onsite in Hicksville to oversee the daily activities of the accounts receivable department, ensuring the accurate and timely management of all accounts receivable aging components.

Responsibilities:

Directly supervise, train and mentor collection teams
Document and implement debt collection policies and regulations of the company
Conduct credit checks on new and potential customers according to company policies and procedures
Stay informed of customer circumstances in order to strengthen and protect the company’s financial position
Ensure timely collection of payments, including getting involved with the collection process as needed
Prepare and analyze reports on collections
Regularly provide reporting feedback and communication updates to CFO and CEO
Manage the negotiation and collection process with customers in the cases of nonpayment
Assist with other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
Minimum 7 years’ experience as an accounts receivable manager or supervisor
Experience in a manufacturing / distribution environment a plus
Exceptional record keeping, Excel, and overall systems skills
Strong detail orientation and analytical aptitude
Excellent communication and people management skills
Experience with ERP conversions a plus
