The Account Manager is responsible for understanding the client's business objectives and challenges and leveraging the iXsystems product portfolio to provide solutions that meet those needs. The ultimate mission of the Account Manager is to be a trusted advisor to the client, driving business success for both the client and IXsystems.

 

This is a fully remote position in EST or CST. 



Base Pay Range

The base pay for this position is $60,000 USD annually with an OTE of $100,000. 

Please note that the provided range reflects the pay spectrum for positions within the same job category as the one to which this position belongs. The final offer will consider various factors, such as location, education, and prior experience, to ensure a comprehensive and fair compensation assessment.

The Day-to-Day

The essential functions and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

  • Generate growth around iXsystems' full portfolio of hybrid and all flash unified storage arrays.
  • Effectively communicate and present the iXsystems company vision, value proposition, and go-to-market strategy in all communication forms.
  • Handle a complex and technical medium-term sales process from lead to quote to close to maintenance, support, and advocacy.
  • Generate revenue by developing business and securing long-term customer relationships and referrals by demonstrating a steadfast commitment to providing an amazing customer experience by becoming your customers' Trusted Advisor.


Education and Experience

We have identified the following programs, experience, and knowledge that have helped others find success in this role at iXSystems. We understand though that knowledge comes from many forms of learning and experiences. Above all, we consider a person’s potential impact in the role and value their unique path to this point in their career.

  • 3+ years experience in B2B sales for both large and small organizations where brand recognition may not be strong
  • 2+ years experience in Storage Sales and/or Datacenter Technologies preferred
  • Experience using Salesforce a plus
  • Background in Open Source Technologies a plus
  • Familiarity with TrueNAS is a plus
  • A combination of professional or educational experience (whether formal or informal) that affords you with the knowledge, skills, and abilities above
  • Comfortable being the "underdog" and not just leveraging a name brand to open doors
  • Self-starter, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and multi-tasking
  • Excellent communication, presentation, problem solving, planning, and time management skills
  • Proven track record of handling complex solution sales and medium-long sales cycles
  • Consistent track record of exceeding quota while maintaining customer loyalty and required product margins
  • Must be able to prospect and self generate pipeline
  • A positive, can-do, team-oriented attitude
  • Ability to be both self-reliant and a team player
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%
