Job Summary:

As a Radiologic Technologist, you will operate your assigned scanner(s) to produce high-quality images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. You will work closely with patients, providing excellent customer service and guiding them through the imaging process. Your attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will be essential in delivering exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Radiologic Imaging (90%):
    • Screen patients before exams for any precautions or contradictions, using two patient identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedure.
    • Explain and prepare patients for radiologic imaging procedures, explaining the procedure and positioning patients for optimal results.
    • Perform routine and advanced radiologic imaging procedures on designated portions of the body, providing patient support and talking to patients throughout the procedure.
    • Adjust radiologic scan parameters correctly and as needed, utilizing dose reduction techniques as appropriate.
    • Maintain positive relationships with radiologists, referring customers, and other associates and peers.
    • Follow physicians' orders precisely and conform to safety regulations to protect patients, coworkers, and yourself.
    • Accurately maintain patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
    • Maintain an orderly and clean work area, promoting good safety habits for patients and coworkers.
    • Maintain ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements.
    • Clean and disinfect equipment after each use.
    • Ensure compliance with all HIPAA guidelines.
    • Work with a Fluoroscopy C-Arm in Surgical and Outpatient procedures.
  • Radiologic Department Support (5%):
    • Assist with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades.
    • Monitor medical supply inventory and request supplies as necessary.
    • Assist with training of new associates, providing resource and technical expertise as applicable.
  • Other Tasks (5%):
    • Complete other tasks as assigned by management.
