Responsibilities:
- Direct and execute geotechnical project assignments including engineering analysis, report preparation, field exploration and laboratory services.
- Provide project level development of proposals and reports and ensure that client commitments are met.
- Oversee and manage geotechnical projects during design and construction.
- Execute field inspections and investigations.
- Bring advanced and insightful geotechnical engineering solutions.
- Promote continuous quality monitoring and improvement on projects.
- Follow and support all site safety policies and procedures.
- Perform slope stability, deep and shallow foundation analyses including pile capacity, drivability calculation, shafts capacity analyses, wall foundation evaluations (standard and special design walls), soil evaluations, and relevant geotechnical engineering studies.
- Communicate with both internal staff and external clients.
- Respond to RFPs related to geotechnical services.
- Perform other duties as required by the Department Manager and supervisors.
- MS or PhD degree (preferred) in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Geotechnical Engineering.
- 3 years of Geotechnical Engineering experience is required.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated performance of independent analysis and demonstrated strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Strong personal safety awareness.
- Excellent work ethic.
- Experience in heavy civil infrastructure in projects work preferred.
Preferred Licenses, Registrations or Certifications:
- Professional Engineer (PE) or ability to obtain within 6 months of joining.
