Pay Range:

The base pay range for this position is
$26.29-$39.47 Hourly
however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Position Overview:

The Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) works closely with the providers to provide direct care to patients making sure they receive compassionate and accurate communication, education and medical services. The responsibilities of the ATC as a physician extender may include: injury assessment, injury prevention and patient education, patient scheduling, procedure/treatment assistant, communicating with other health care entities and insurance payers. The ATC demonstrates performance consistent with the mission, vision, and values of the organization. Works with staff and providers obtaining patient paperwork to support patient care services.

A Day in the Life:
  • Establish and maintain communication and collaboration with colleagues, patients, payers and community members, to promote teamwork and positive patient outcomes.
  • Promotes and contributes to a positive work environment, serving others professional and positive attitude.
  • Keep current with the changes in professionalism and hospital policy. Ensure completion of regulatory and departmental competencies within the timeframe set by your supervisor.
  • Accountable to demonstrate work effectiveness through safe completion of assigned tasks in a timely manner. Uses appropriate delegation to assist in patient care.
  • Follow high reliability practices set by the organization and/or department and report safety concerns. Participate in quality improvement projects throughout the organization in order to support a safe and just culture work environment.
  • Participate in all assigned meetings and committee assignments.
  • Participate in organizational wide new employee orientation and successful completion of departmental orientation.
  • Arrive to your workstation at your appointed time and be able and ready to perform the work assigned. The expectation is that the employee will be present for all scheduled shifts.
  • Collects and tracks medical records for timely transcription and processing providers orders.
  • Gathers all necessary and required documentation supporting patient services to be ready for scheduling and may assist in scheduling appointments.
  • Uploads supporting documentation and authorization information into the EMR consistent with PRH electronic record policy.
About You!

This Job is For You if You Have:
  • Bachelors or Masters of Science degree, in Athletic Training
  • Current BLS and State of Washington Athletic Training License. NATA certified preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with colleagues and customers.
  • Competent in computer skills including Microsoft Office products.
  • Comfort in answering phones and speaking with customers on the phone.
  • Ability to manage time, tasks, and resources appropriately.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new technology.
  • Ability to read and write clearly, and understand policies, labels, and written instructions.
A Wow if You Have:
  • Prefer experience in high school or collegiate athletic training environments and student athletic trainer supervision.
