Job Description

  • Adhere to all safety standards and operating procedures.
  • Lead warehouse operators daily workflow
  • Prepare LTL/truckload orders for warehouse operators.
  • Verify orders are pulled correctly after staging has been completed.
  • Process and prepare receivables for warehouse and production use
  • Verify rotation of materials in the warehouse to ensure FIFO.
  • Review production reports daily and compare to production movements in D365 to ensure LP accuracy.
  • Review and report any LP or location discrepancies to warehouse supervisor.
  • Be able to perform other shipping and receiving tasks to ensure coverage if shorthanded.
  • Analyze any inventory issues and communicate with the team, as necessary.
  • Review Back log daily and release orders as inventory becomes available.
  • Identify potential inventory shortages and communicate with Shipping Supervisor.
  • Ensure shipping counts match the order documents.
  • Process and coordinate customer returns
  • Other related duties and responsibilities as required or assigned.
LEADERSHIP:
  • Engage and partner with Operations and Production Teams for proper effectiveness.
  • Assure compliance with all company policies, including proper PPE requirements.
  • Document and keep current basic work instructions, policies, procedures, or other directional material.
POSITIONS SUPERVISED:
  • Dotted Line to shipping operators
EQUIPMENT KNOWLEDGE:
  • Excellent working knowledge of manufacturing, math, electronics, computers, and ergonomics.
  • Knowledge of warehouse and shipping operations.
  • Ability to interact with vendors.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Associate degree or equivalent of 2-4 years of work experience in related fields.
  • 2-3 years of manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Forklift certification from pervious role with proven knowledge.
  • Result - oriented and articulate in managing diverse teams in the production of quality products.
  • Interpersonal skills, analytical, problem solving, and statistical analysis.
  • Effective communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Strong computer skills in Excel, MS work, and D365.
  • Knowledge of inventory management, cycle counts, and FIFO.
  • Leadership skills - Ability to direct, organize, and motivate a team.
  • Must be proactive, detailed oriented and focused on Quality.
  • Drive accountability by ensuring each person knows and understands what is expected of them.
  • Ability to work in an ever-changing work environment.
  • Have a good understanding of material flow and operations sequence.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • While performing the duties must be able to stand and sit for an extended length of time.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Although limited must be able to climb stairs and ladders, and work at heights up to 25'.
  • There will be some contact with liquid ink, solvents, grease, and oils.
  • Personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hearing protection, and safety shoes are required.

Work experience in related industry is an asset but even if you do not have this, we still want you to apply. On the job training will be provided.
