We are seeking a Wound Care Registered Nurse (RN) to provide expert nursing care to patients in the comfort of their homes. The main responsibilities include administering intravenous products, educating patients on managing lines and treatment plans, and ensuring a safe and professional environment for patients. The ideal candidate must possess the skills to initiate and supervise intravenous lines and tubes, dispense medications, and provide guidance to families. This position is located in Taylor, MI, US. Responsibilities: • Assess and evaluate patients' reactions to intravenous medications and treatments in the homecare setting • Provide clear explanations of procedures and regularly monitor the vital signs of patients • Administer therapy, hydration, blood, and blood components, drugs, and solutions to patients as prescribed • Collaborate with physicians and manage infusion equipment for optimal patient care • Handle emergency situations and seek outside assistance when necessary • Ensure professional, safe, and positive patient care experiences in the homecare environment • Demonstrate extensive pharmacological knowledge and maintain meticulous documentation skills • Strictly adhere to infection control protocols to prevent the spread of infections • Utilize excellent clinical skills acquired through a nursing education program to deliver exceptional care to patients Qualifications: • Highly skilled in starting peripheral IVs, arterial lines, and other intravenous access devices • Proficient in managing infusion equipment and assessing line patency • Knowledgeable in assessing patients' responses to medications and observing for potential drug complications • Meticulous in documentation skills and maintenance of infection control protocols • Excellent clinical skills developed through a nursing education program • Ability to set up and monitor IVs, administer shots, give tube feedings, and change bandages Compensation: $45 - $85 hourly
