Entry-Level Geologist

PPM Consultants, Inc., an Environmental Consulting Firm, is seeking an Entry-Level Geologist with 0 to 2 years of professional experience for the Altamonte Springs (Orlando, FL area).

Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

• Overseeing drilling activities
• Remediation system maintenance and inspections
• Sampling soil or groundwater
• Bailing water from groundwater monitoring wells
• Lifting or pulling pumps, probes, or similar equipment from remediation wells or manways
• Working within industrial manufacturing facilities
• Working in a variety of weather conditions
• Frequent travel within Florida and performing other duties as needed.
• You will be working under a certified Professional Engineer and a certified Professional Geologist, so you will be able to pursue obtaining your P.G./RPG.

Job Requirements

Requirements:

Successful candidates should have an undergraduate degree - preferably Bachelor of Science in engineering, geology, or other science field; ability to provide competent and quick service to Project Team; ability to follow specific instructions; ability to communicate in a positive manner both verbally and written; and must work as part of a team. Salary will be paid on an hourly basis, and overtime is possible and likely.

Must be authorized to work in the United States.
